EARLY DAYS
In 1680, Daniel Wight II became Master Distiller of the Worshipful Company of Distillers in London. This high honor recognizes the most accomplished distillers in England, and is bestowed annually to this day. He owned the George Inn where he distilled spirits for his guests. The Inn still exists and is one of the oldest pubs in the UK.
Through the early 1700s, his son, Daniel Wight III, carried on the family tradition as distiller and proprietor of the Inn.

CENTURIES
From 1868 to 1954, American whiskey legends John Jacob Wight, John Hyatt Wight, and Frank Wight became renowned for their rye, American whisky, and Bourbon. Their brands included Wight’s Old Reserve, Wight’s Sherbrook Rye, and Wight’s Sherbrook Bourbon.
WIGHT's
TODAY
From the earliest days, the Wights have produced high quality spirits, loved sharing them, and taken pride in our brands, best illustrated by the fact that our name always appears on the bottle. Today we proudly carry on this tradition.
Our craft is aging, finishing, and blending fine American whiskys. We find the highest quality and best tasting spirits available, then age and finish to achieve a specific flavor profile. We use methods like double-oaking, and finishing in aged cooperage previously used for port, brandy, Scotch, or other spirits.
Finally we select and blend barrels to achieve a consistent product or to create something new.

RESERVE
KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKY
Adhering to our family traditions and standards of high quality, we are pleased to share Wight’s Old Reserve Bourbon with you.
Our blend of hand-picked wheated and rye Bourbons gives Wight’s Old Reserve an unmatched smoothness and flavor. The wheat provides sweetness and a pleasant soft mouthfeel which balances the robust flavor profile of the rye.
Wight’s Old Reserve is a blend of fully mature Kentucky Straight Bourbons, aged 4 to 8 years. The barrels are individually selected and blended to ensure an outstanding tasting experience.
