GOLD RUSH

Perfect for spring and summer, the Wight's Gold Rush is light, refreshing, and citrus-forward.


Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Wight’s Old Reserve Bourbon
  • 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp blue agave syrup or nectar

How to craft:

  1. Pour Wight's Old Reserve Bourbon into an empty cocktail shaker (don't add ice just yet).
  2. Add lemon juice.
  3. Add agave syrup.
  4. Stir or shake well to thoroughly dissolve the syrup.
  5. Add ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds.
  6. Pour into cocktail glass over ice.
  7. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Tips:

  • Do not use agave syrup that requires refrigeration. It may be too thick to easily dissolve.
  • Add lemon juice before syrup. When the measuring spoon is coated with citrus, not as much syrup sticks to it allowing for better measuring.
